Det är egentligen ganska lustigt när branschen som troligtvis äter minst i världen slår sina påsar ihop med lyxlivsmedelsföretag... Senast i raden av exempel är italienska Marnis samarbete med det franska lyxkonditoriet Ladureé (konstigt att Ladureé inte valde ett franskt modehus, det finns ju en del att välja mellan). Man har komponerat en specialmacaroon (förstås) av lyxig choklad och guldflagor (lyx the old fashioned way, vilket inte rimmar helt väl med Marni, enligt mig. Marni handlar mer om understated luxury än guld och krås.

Ladurée samarbetade ju faktiskt med den franske skodesignern Christian Louboutin för inte så länge sedan, och ville kanske med Marni betona deras internationella samverkan. Vad är det som säger att samarbeten bara får ske innanför nationens gränser? Att kopplingen mellan Ladurée och Marni inte är självklar, är kanske menat att vara attraktionen för just detta. Och att samarbetet med Louboutin inte resulterade i en ask med röd undersida är väl en trist kommentar, macaroonsen är ju ändå svart-röda. Asken var ju faktiskt inte formad som en sko!
