Som nybliven delägare (i och med giftermålet) utvecklade Charles affären med nya ideér och tankar vilket till en början möttes med viss skepsis, franska kejsarinnan lär bland annat ha hånat hans kläder offentligt vilket naturligtvis ledde till att de rika och berömda till en början höll sig på avstånd. Efter ett tag mjuknade dock klientelet och adeln kom krypande till korset för att handla hans gudomliga plagg. Nu var hjulet i rullning och snart reste folk från USA för att handla hans kläder.
Nyheten med Charles design var att han valde material och skärningar som var smickrande för individen, han lät sig inte, så som det fungerat tidigare, bli dikterad eller tillsagd av kunden hur han skulle designa ett plagg. Han visade provplagg på "modevisningar" som han sedan specialanpassade efter kundens förutsättningar. Charles blev så småningom så omåttligt populär att han på reguljär basis var tvungen att avstå från kunder och precis som idag var det säkraste kortet för att uppnå total hysteri! Charles popularitet visste inga gränser! Charles Frederick Worth är helt klart en av de mest revolutionerande personerna i modern modehistoria.
